As most of my listeners know, I'm a fan of wine. A BIG fan. So big, I have many gallons of home-made wine fermenting in my basement, along with countless bottles aging in my cellar. I've also been spending quite a bit of my personal time attending different wine-tasting events, and have a few winery trips planned for the summer.

So you can only imaging the joy I experienced when I was sent the following press release from the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra:

Join the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra for the perfect summer evening. Feed your soul with a perfect harmony of food, wine and music on the banks of the North Platte River at Casper’s most anticipated summer event.

On Wednesday, July 31st starting at 6:00pm the WSO will host the 7th annual Wine on the River on the patio at Jonah Bank to benefit our 2013-14 concert season and expanding education and outreach programs. This year’s partners include Botticelli’s, Dsasumo, Grant Street Grocery, Herbadashery, J’s Pub and Grill and The Market and More with wines by Southern Wine & Spirits.

Win one of our live auction items - sport fishing in Cabo San Lucas, a Florida adventure, getaway to a WY luxury guest ranch, conducting the WSO and more. New this year is a fine wine raffle - tickets are $20 to win fabulous wines including an Opus One!

Tickets are $65 per person or $125 for two and on sale at Windy City Books (downtown), Sadler’s Hallmark (Eastridge Mall), and the Wyoming Symphony Office at 225 S. David Ste. 1B. www.wyomingsymphony.org
