A 30-inch amethyst cathedral is being raffled off by the Tate Geological Museum, with raffle tickets available at the museum through the day of the drawing on Saturday, June 1, 2013. A Cathedral is an explanation for a tall geode that when broken open reveals the beauty inside.
Tickets are $10 each or six for $50. All proceeds raised from the sale of the raffle tickets will go the Tate Geological Museum Support Fund. Tickets are available at the Tate Geological Museum’s gift shop. The cathedral itself is currently on display until the drawing in the central cube located in the Tate lobby. Ticket purchasers do not need to be present at the drawing to win.
