There will be plenty of Wyoming wind to go around today, especially in central and eastern counties where some areas are under a High Wind Warning through this evening.   Southwest winds in the the warning area will gust to 60 mph at times.  Casper is included in the high wind warning.

A few scattered showers and some snow around the higher elevations are starting to fall in western portions of the state.  Much of the precipitation will stay in the west today, but some of the showers will spread into northeastern and north central Wyoming tonight.

Friday will feature additional scattered showers and mixed showers in the west and also in the Big Horn Mountains.  Central and eastern counties should see a break from the wind, with perhaps a few very light showers and more clouds later in the day.  Any precipitation in Casper today and Friday is expected to be fairly light.
