Warmer spring temperatures return to Wyoming today, but the wind will as well.  Above average temperatures, strong winds and low relative humidity will once again lead to very high and extreme fire dangers in some portions of the state.  A Red Flag Warning is in effect for portions of central and south central Wyoming this afternoon through 7pm.    Casper is included in the Red Flag Warning.  South to southwest winds will gust up to 40 mph at times.  Temperatures will warm into the 40s in the far west to the 60s and lower 70s in the east.  Highs today in Casper will be in the 60s.

A cold front will start to travel through the state on Friday.  Showers and mixed showers will develop in the west and north during the day.  By the evening a few of these showers and perhaps a few isolated thunderstorms may develop further south and east.  Northern and western areas will be in the best position for precipitation.

During the day on Friday, temperatures will still be quite mild in the east and once again the wind will be strong.  A Fire Weather Watch has been issued for east central and southeastern Wyoming Friday afternoon and evening.
