McConnell says twenty engines and eight crews are on that fire with a Type one Incident Management Team expected to take over Sunday evening.

Some structures have been destroyed, however damage assessments have not been done because the fire remains too dangerous.

As many as 500 homes have been evacuated, but some residents have been allowed to return.

Firefighters are now working an additional fire north of the Colorado Border near Lake Owen. The Squirrel Creek fire in the Medicine Bow National Forest has burned about 80 acres south west of Laramie.

In western Wyoming the Fontenelle Fire burning near Big Piney in the Bridger-Teton National Forest is currently at 45,000 acres with an estimated 5 percent containment.

Over 400 firefighting personnel are on that fire. No structure damage has been reported.

Red flag warnings continue across the state.
