Army Says “No Thanks” To Ted Nugent

In the wake of his inflammatory comments suggesting possible violence against President Obama, the U.S. Army has cancelled a June performance by Ted Nugent   at Fort Knox. The Army did release a statement on the Fort Knox Facebook page explaining their decision.

"After learning of opening act Ted Nugent's recent public comments about the president of the United States, Fort Knox leadership decided to cancel his performance on the installation."

It's been two weeks since Nugent's comments at the National Rifle Association Convention in St. Louis, where he urged attendees to "chop their heads off," speaking of the Obama administration. He also stated if Obama gets reelected, he would "either be dead or in jail." Those comments got Ted a meeting with the Secret Service.

The meeting took place in Oklahoma and both sides later said the matter had been settled. Nugent said, “The meeting could not have gone better,” while a Secret Service spokesman said, “The issue has been resolved.
