Wyoming’s Brett Smith Nominated in Two Fan Voting Weekly Awards

After he threw for a career-high 374 yards, accounted for 396 yards in total offense and passed for four touchdowns, Wyoming Cowboy Sophomore QB Brett Smith is up for two honors in which fan voting determines the winner. Smith was named one of the Manning Award “Stars of the Week” and is also a candidate for the MAACO Bowl Las Vegas MW Player of the Week honor.

Cowboys Get Defensive in 62-42 Victory over Western State

Chaundra Sewell scored 22 points, Ashley Sickles had 17 points and Kayla Woodward added 14 points, as the Wyoming Cowgirls rolled past the Idaho Vandals 86-53 in the season opener for both teams at the Arena-Auditorium Friday night. UW shot 50.8 percent
Cowgirls Cruise Past Regis, 76-45, in Second Exhibition Win

A 19-1 run to end the first half helped the Wyoming Cowgirls to an easy 76-45 victory over the Regis Rangers in exhibition action Monday night at the Arena-Auditorium. Senior Ashley Sickles scored 17 points, on 7-of-14 shooting, grabbed 4 rebounds and had 3 steals to lead UW.
Six More Cowboy Basketball Games Will Be On TV

Thanks to an agreement between Learfield Sports and DIRECTV Sports Networks, parent company of ROOT SPORTS, six University of Wyoming men’s basketball games not previously slated for television, will now be aired as part of a 14-game Mountain West Conference men’s basketball package to be broadcast on ROOT SPORTS.
