Broncos Linebacker Joe Mays has been fined $50,000 for the helmet-to-helmet hit on Houston quarterback Matt Schaub. He was also suspended for one game. Mays will appeal the suspension, and that appeals hearing will be held before Sunday's game against Oakland. Mays is banned from Dove Valley until Oct. 1st, and is not allowed inside Sports Authority Field at Mile High on Sunday.
