Ok it's only pre-season and the games count for nothing. But still. To beat one of the teams that was in last years Super Bowl has to count for something. The Broncos took down the San Francisco 49ers last night 10-6. What was the difference? Something Denver needed last year and San Francisco had a lot of. Defense. Denver forced four turnovers one for a touchdown. "You have four turnovers and you win every time," said safety Mike Adams, who contributed a timely interception. "That's what you want to do. As a defense, you want to set the tone, and give the offense a boost. When you get turnovers like that, that's the way it's going to go for you."http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/gametracker/recap/NFL_20130808_DEN@SF/star-qbs-exit-early-broncos-edge-49ers-in-defensive-battle.

And though it was only pre-season and Manning only played one series Broncos backup quarterback Brock Osweiler completed his first six passes and went 13 for 18 for 105 yards.

Though it was just an exhibition game it was still football. In all it's glorious form. And a couple of weeks from now the Bronco's will be playing for real.
