D.J. Williams is preparing for his first start since Jan. 14 with Wesley Woodyard still hobbled by a sprained left ankle.

The Broncos (9-3) take their seven-game winning streak to Oakland to face the reeling Raiders (3-9) Tonight and Woodyard is listed as doubtful after missing both of the team's practices this week.

Woodyard leads the Broncos with 97 tackles and is the only NFL player with at least three interceptions and three sacks this season. He won the starting weakside linebacker job in training camp with incumbent Williams facing what turned out to be suspensions totaling nine games.  Woodyard was walking around team headquarters without the noticeable limp he had after Sunday's game, but the Broncos are concerned about him aggravating the injury in a short week.

RAIDERS-ALLEN

Oakland Raiders coach Dennis Allen has returned to the team after the death of his father.  Allen flew to the Dallas area on Sunday night to be with his father, Grady, and his family. Grady Allen died Tuesday at age 66 of cardiac arrest.

Dennis Allen came back to the Bay Area in time for practice on Wednesday and will coach the team on Thursday night against Denver.

Grady Allen played 59 games over five years as a linebacker with the Atlanta Falcons.
