Casper Woman Arrested for Meth Possession, Child Endangerment

A woman was arrested Monday morning after an investigation by state and local authorities led to the discovery of alleged methamphetamine use in a home where two children lived.

Loral Shantell Combe, 23, was booked into jail on two counts of child endangerment by methamphetamine and one charge of possession of methamphetamine.

Two Casper police officers responded to a home on East M Street shortly before 8:30 a.m. Monday to assist after a case worker from the Wyoming Department of Family Services arrived to investigate allegations of Combe's meth use in the residence.

Combe allegedly admitted to officers that she used meth on Saturday. When asked whether any meth was still in the apartment, she reportedly led an officer upstairs and retrieved a case containing a spoon, meth pipe and suspected meth residue.

Court documents also claim Combe tested positive for methamphetamine. Based on that result, the paraphernalia and the "overall wretched state of the apartment," two children were taken into protective custody.

Officers stayed at the apartment with the case worker as she tried to arrange placement of the children and find a third child, who was not currently in the apartment.

Combe was arrested and taken to jail. The pipe later allegedly tested positive for meth.

Police found Combe has not previously been convicted on drug charges.
