Congratulations to Automation & Electronics Inc. of Casper, for recently earning a Governor's Safety Award for in the category of Construction Company - Large Employer.

Recipients of the Governor's Safety Awards and the Workforce Awards are outstanding individuals and employers committed to demonstrating an ingrained culture of safety and health within their workplaces.  They are leaders in safety, and their example is one that all Wyoming employers are encouraged to follow.

Gov. Matt Mead joined with the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services to divvy out the honors at Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs. The Wyoming Safety and Workforce Summit brings together the Wyoming Workforce Development Council, the Wyoming Refining Safety Alliance, the Wyoming Contractors Association, the Wyoming Oil and Gas Industry Safety Alliance and the Petroleum Association of Wyoming to converge several separate safety conferences and the annual Summit on Workforce Solutions into one event.

"It is the right focus and this partnership and these awards show a growing engagement across Wyoming to keep our people safe," Mead said. "Worker deaths have been a longstanding problem in energy-driven Wyoming, but seem to be trending downward in recent years."
