It’s official – the biggest show in the sky returns to the grounds of the Casper Events Center on Wednesday, July 4 – Fireworks Festival 2012!  Here’s a look at what to expect during this year’s festivities:

Gates will open at 4pm – with a beer garden, as well as food and vendor booths that include barbecue, kettle corn, jewelry, purses, and lots of other great items and tasty treats.  Music will get underway at 4:30 – with a full day of live entertainment.

Headlining this year’s show – American hard rockers Soulicit, who have found themselves on a 110 mph thrill ride to mainstream rock success in just a matter of months – already hitting the main stage at some of the largest rock festivals in the country, fueled by their hit single “Hell Yeah”, from their debut album Parking Lot Rockstar. Hailing from Wichita, Kansas, Soulicit is comprised of lead vocalist Darick Parkson, guitarist R Roll, bassist Kevin Parrow, and drummer Trent Boehner.  They’ve been winning over audiences around the United States with their energetic live shows and heart-felt music, and the momentum is expected to continue, as their follow-up single “Complicated” is starting to gain airplay across the country – and on Rock 96.7 here in Casper.  Soulicit will take the stage at 8:30pm, right before the fireworks.

Here’s a look at Soulicit, and their video for “Hell Yeah”:

And, a special military tribute featuring their track “Time To Fly”:

Also appearing – guitar hero Todd Wolfe, who cut his teeth in the New York music scene in the late 70′s – opening for a bevy of acts such as Johnny Winter, Robin Trower, The Neville Brothers, Gregg Allman and more.  Wolfe eventually headed West to write and record a demo with a then unknown backup singer by the name of Sheryl Crow.  When Sheryl finally hit it big with her Tuesday Night Music Club album and needed a guitarist for her touring band, she came calling – and she and Todd forged a musical relationship that lasts to this day.  During the downtime from Sheryl Crow tours, the Todd Wolfe Band was born – and Todd will be bringing his unique brand of high-energy Blues Rock to the Fireworks Festival this year for Casper to experience for the first time.  Todd’s set to take the stage at 6:30 – here’s a sneak peek of what you’ll see:

Opening the show at 4:30 will be the rock & roll of Casper’s own Grease Monkeys – a long-time fixture of the Wyoming music scene, but making their very first appearance at the Fireworks.

The big bang happens at approximately 10pm – with a larger-than-ever fireworks display, with the official synchronized soundtrack live on all Townsquare Media stations:  104.7 KISS-FM, Rock 96.7, 107.9 The River, K2 Radio, My Country 95.5, and AM 1400, ESPN Radio.

As always, the biggest show in the sky is best seen through a pair of Pepsi 3D Fireworks Festival glasses – keep an eye here and listen to the above stations for details on dates, times, and locations where you can pick them up (free) before the show.
