One of my brushes with fame was when I was booking rock and roll bands thirty years ago and I got to spend the day with Fleetwood Mac, in Casper, at the fairgrounds rodeo arena.

While waiting for the Mac to take the stage I got to sit in trailers and "chat" with the band. They had not yet attained mega-star status and it was a great day of music and mayhem.

My conversations with Christine McVie were enlightening. As the years took their toll. She made the decision to quit touring in 1998 and then quit the band. Now that Fleetwood Mac has gone back on the road to incredible reviews (sold out shows all summer with a new CD in the works) Christine initially said NO to getting back on stage. Now all that has changed. Click the link and read the story. It's good.

"Christine McVie will make a guest appearance with Fleetwood Mac at two of their upcoming UK shows, Stevie Nicks has confirmed. The news follows speculation that the retired vocalist could sing with her former band mates once more, after she tole BBC Radio 2: "If they ask, I'll play."

It will be a time for rock to remember.
