I've made the mistake of questioning the ability of the University of Wyoming Cowboys Basketball team right here on this blog. Wrong thing to do. It's Time!! Time the Pokes get a little love in the top 25 of the AP Colllege Basketball rankings.

Tonight the Cowboys moved to 11-0 on the season dispatching Denver Pioneers 71-61 to move to 11-0 on the season. Luke Martinez who finished with a career high 25 points said it best when he said after the game: "Coach said to remain humble and don't drink the poison." Hell yes don't drink the poison. This team is starting to look for real to Cowboy Fans. In addition to Martinez's career high 25...Larry Nance Junior had a career high 21 and Leonard Washington had a career low....low of only 8 points he contributed in a number of different areas to assist the Cowboys in places that didn't show up on the stat sheet. At one point in the contest Martinez had five in a row go in. And as Coach Shyatt said..."It was a team effort. Everyone contributed on both ends of the floor.

And now Cowboy fans...you better start looking for tickets because the Double A is going to get expensive. What was an easy ticket a month ago is now going to get a little hard to find. Go ahead. Buy that Wyoming vs. New Mexico ticket now because it's not going to be around in a couple of weeks. Count on it.

Pokes are at home this Friday matching up against a team they've beat on the road in the guise of University of California Santa Barbera. Game is at home. You can hear it on our sister station AM 1030 KTWO at about 7:00 pm.
