After getting off to one of the best starts in program history the University of Wyoming Cowboy's Basketball team (16-7, 2-7) have struggled to win a conference game. Last Saturday was no exception.

The Cowboys were on the road to play Boise State (16-7, 4-5) in the "Taco Bell Arena." You can believe there was no hot sauce on this floor. The Pokes came out lack luster going into the locker room with a half time deficit of 37-19. And had to do without another of their key players as Larry Nance Jr. sat out the contest with an injured wrist.

Thank the basketball gods for senior guard Derrious Gilmore, who dropped 26 on Boise and who has been keeping the Cowboys in games as of late. Though the Cowboys battled back in the second half they just don't have enough horses to pull this wagon to a victory falling 68-61. And as always things just don't get easier in the Mountain West Conference. The Pokes play a home game Wednesday against Nevada. Game can be heard on our sister station AM 1030 at 7pm.
