The glow of a huge win over #5 San Diego State, 68-62 on Tuesday has begun to fade for the University of Wyoming Cowboys mens basketball team, the victory was UW's first over a top-five opponent since 1998.  Saturday the Cowboys (15-9, 6-5) will match up against another California Mountain West opponent in the guise of the San Jose State Spartans (6-8, 0-12). The Pokes have to go on the road in search of another conference victory. And though the Spartans have not won a conference game this season. This is not a game the Cowboys should take lightly. The Spartans have been competitive, as three of their six home games in conference play have been decided by four points or less. Most recently, the Spartans lost a 51-48 game against Air Force last Wednesday at home.Wyoming is 5-1 all-time against San Jose State, including 1-1 in San Jose. The two programs last met on Jan. 18 with the Cowboys earning a 67-57 victory in Laramie. The game can be heard on our sister station AM 1030 KTWO at 3pm.
