Natrona County Fire District

A wildland fire on the western end of Casper Mountain is now fully contained. Natrona County Fire District Inspector Dave Baker said crews were still on the scene late Tuesday putting out hotspots, and there are areas of timber that will take time to fully extinguish.

The fire was first reported late Monday afternoon on Coal Mountain Road. Fire officials say there were no injuries, and no damage to any structures. The fire was just over 230 acres in size, and officials continue their investigation into what sparked the blaze.
