USA Today ranks the NFL coaches from worst to first and it’s not good for Denver Broncos fans, if, and that’s a big IF you want to believe them. Their article predictably enough, has Bill Belichick in first place. Delivering two AFC Championships and five Super Bowl wins, Belichick is the man on top.

Down below, at the very bottom, in 32nd place, is Vance Joseph, Head Coach of the Denver Broncos. USAToday explains the low ranking:

“Of the new coaches, he has the least experience as a top-level assistant. He spent only one season as the Dolphins defensive coordinator before landing the Broncos job. We just don’t know much about him other than the fact that his players love him. That only gets you so far as a head coach.”

So Joseph is an unknown quantity. He spent three seasons in Houston under Denver’s last head coach, Gary Kubiak. John Elway vetted Vance and with his leadership skills, chose him over “Kyle Shanahan, one of the league’s best offensive minds and the son of former Super Bowl-winning Broncos coach Mike Shanahan.”

It’s a huge job, expectations are high, and I am putting my trust in John Elway, who just signed a new 5 year contract. Elway has faith that Joseph can overcome adversity and keep the team chill while expectations are so high.

One of Vance’s big responsibilities will be molding the Broncos’ next franchise quarterback. Good luck, sir.

So, while Vance Joseph is in last place now, he has nowhere to go but up.
