The trailer for 'It's So Easy and Other Lies,' the wild and redemptive documentary tracing the rise and fall of former Guns N' Roses bassist Duff McKagan, is now available online. You can watch it above.

The movie has also found a worldwide distributor in Vision Films. 'It's So Easy and Other Lies' includes archival footage of McKagan and the band, previously unreleased footage and newly shot interviews.

McKagen joined Guns N' Roses in 1985 and played on their classic 1987 debut album, 'Appetite for Destruction,' and continued through a decade of both dizzying highs (the first LP has sold more than 28 million copies) and stunning lows (he barely survived a bout of acute alcohol-induced pancreatitis in 1994).

McKagen cleaned up before eventually leaving GNR in 1997. But he remains close with his old bandmates. He was also a member of Velvet Revolver from 2002-08 with former Guns N' Roses members Slash and Matt Sorum, and appeared onstage with GNR -- still led by Axl Rose -- in 2010 at London's 02 arena. He has also appeared on solo albums by Izzy Stadlin and Slash.

McKagen was with Guns N' Roses when they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012.

'It's So Easy and Other Lies,' based on McKagan's 2011 autobiography of the same name, is produced by McKagan, Christopher Duddy and Steven G. Kaplan. Duddy also directs the movie, which the trailer promises is "coming soon."
