No people were injured, but three dogs died Saturday evening after a trailer home in Evansville caught fire.

The cause of the blaze is still under investigation, according to Captain Corey Ramsey of the Evansville Fire-EMS Department.

Firefighters were called out shortly before 7 p.m. Saturday to the East Hills Mobile Home Park. The fire was largely contained to the kitchen area, but smoke damage was present throughout the entire house.

Two people lived inside the residence and were displaced as a result of the blaze. The American Red Cross of Wyoming said on its Facebook page that the agency was assisting one adult and one child.

Firefighters found three dogs inside the home. They took the animals outside and performed CPR in an effort to revive them, but all three dogs perished.

Casper Fire-EMS, the Natrona County Fire District, Evansville Police Department and Wyoming Medical Center all assisted in handling the incident.
