Nothing you haven't heard before, but the National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement about strong winds for central Wyoming, namely Natrona County, for Monday evening and Tuesday morning.

Meanwhile, the chance of precipitation is 60 percent later today and will increase to 70 percent early Tuesday, according to the Riverton office of the National Weather Service.

New snow accumulation could amount to one to two inches, and the temperature could drop to 17, with northwest winds of 26 mph to 31 mph, and gusts as high as 44 mph.

While the skies turn sunny Tuesday with a high near 39, the winds will hang around with gusts up to 29 mph.

Elsewhere in Wyoming, Yellowstone National Park, and Park, Teton and northern Fremont counties are under a winter storm warning.

Likewise, a winter storm warning is in effect for Sheridan and northern Johnson counties.

High wind warnings and winter weather advisories are in effect for much of the rest of the state.
