Father is true Veteran!

Veterans Day. A day we're supposed to give thanks for those men and women who gave the ultimate gift to us all so that we can participate in our own daily lives. Freely....I might add. Something I take for granted as I look at others around the world.  I get so caught up in doing so man things that I forget the ultimate Veteran. My Father. My Hero. Captain William F. Shutts United Stated Army Air Corp. Thanks Dad. For getting up so many mornings and being my Father. Raising 11 kids. Giving me everything I needed. Giving me your life. Thank you getting up with the sun for so many mornings and easing your self down in the left seat of that B25. Strapping your self in, checking the instruments. Then taking off on another mission protecting your crew and fighting that feelings in your stomach that this may be the mission you don't come back from. The time you get to join the others that pay the ultimate price, your life, for your country. I don't know if I could do something like that. But you could.... you did. Bill Shutts you are my hero. You are my ultimate Veteran. Thank you for all you did for me. I will never be able to repay you. But I will try every day to make you as proud of me as I am of you.
