Although colder,  the weather is starting to settle down across the state.  The cold front that moved through yesterday is now well to our south and it has taken much of the snow and precipitation with it.  There could still be a few light mountain snow showers or flurries today, but additional accumulations will be light.

Although not completely calm, the wind will not be nearly as strong as it has been.  The eastern plains will continue to see northwest winds at 20 to 35 mph, with gusts to 45 mph.  The wind in Casper will be out of the west to northwest at 25 to 35 mph.

The state will be in between storm systems on Friday and Saturday.  Temperatures will have a chance to moderate and conditions will be mainly dry with the exception of the northwest where a few snow showers could develop on Saturday.  It will be noticeably warmer on Saturday, but it will also turn windy again too.  Temperatures in Casper will likely only be in the 20s today and then warm into the 30s on Friday with the 40s expected on Saturday.
