There is nothing better than an intimate evening with friends, food, drink and incredible music. This past summer a number of Casper residents have opened up their back yards to a group of their close friends and invited guests for house concerts. The picture is Grammy Nominee Jeff Finlin and Amy Geiske who played earlier this summer.  The host family offers drink of all kinds and the guests bring a lawn chair, blanket, a pot luck dish and the music is provided by local and nationally recognized musicians who generally play three or four sets unplugged so to speak. Very hip, very intimate allowing the guests to meet musicians up close and personal as well as spend time with friends that haven't had a chance to chat for a time or two. Tomorrow night will be the culmination of the summer's house concerts series with Cory and the Crew & the Singing Zombie Dolls hosted by Dr. Bert & Carolyn Toews. Next summer we'll see if we can let others know about how to host an artist and offer a house concert.
