Jack-O-Lanterns Carved in Cheaper Fruits and Veggies

Is it just me, or are there fewer places to buy pumpkins this year? It also seems like the places that have them are charging quite a bit more for them than last year. Folks are blaming weather, (Hurricanes & Droughts), and the economy for limited supply and the higher prices...

Consider this... If you have some carving skill, maybe you can make your Halloween Jack-O-Lantern out of something other than a pumpkin.
