At the end of the NASCAR All-Star race Saturday night in Charlotte it was only about the money, and Jimmie Johnson collected a little over a million dollars.

This is Johnson’s third All-Star victory, putting him in a three-way tie, with Dale Earnhardt, and Jeff Gordon with three each.

On May 12th at Darlington, Johnson gave team owner Rick Hendrick his 200th NASCAR Cup win, and Saturday night under the lights at Charlotte, he gave Hendrick Motor Sports it’s seventh All-Star win. So, Jimmie took Hendrick for what we like to call a “Rick-tory Lap”.

Next weekend, 1,100 miles of racing by the time it is said and done.  Starting with the 96th Indy 500 with TV coverage by ABC beginning at 10 a.m.  Then the Coca-Cola 600 Sunday night at Charlotte Motor Speedway with coverage beginning Sunday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. on Fox.
