Mark David Chapman was sentenced to 20 years to life after pleading guilty to second-degree murder of John Lennon, outside Lennon's apartment in Manhattan on December 8th, 1980.Chapman has been denied parole in his prior hearings and his latest could come as early as tomorrow (Tuesday) according to officials. His last hearing was September 2010, when he told the parole board there were other potential targets on his list, including Johnny Carson, Elizabeth Taylor, and others he couldn't recall.

The New York Department of Corrections have stated a decision on Chapman's release could come as early as Thursday or Friday.

Yoko Ono, Lennon's wife, said in 2010 she opposed the paroling of Chapman due to concerns for family and herself.

Mark David Chapman is being housed in Alden, New York at the Wende Correctional Facility.
