Speaking of the northwest, that area will continue to be in the best position for precipitation.  Developing scattered showers will be possible there both today and Friday, with a chance for a rain/snow mix at night and in the mountains.  There will not be as atmospheric moisture in the lower elevations.  However, a few isolated thunderstorms cannot be ruled out in the north and on the eastern plains.
