The Wyoming Cannabis Activists have scheduled a "medical marijuana demonstration" tomorrow, May 3rd, at Conwell Park.

The demonstration runs from 3:30 to 6:30. If you can't attend, but want to, they have another one scheduled for the 17th in Douglas.

According to their Facebook event page:

THIS WILL BE OUR FIRST BIG OPPORTUNITY FOR US TO GET OUT. COME
JOIN US TO MAKE A CLEAR STATEMENT TO THE LAWMAKERS AND CITIZENS OF WYOMING BY STANDING UP FOR MEDICAL MARIJUANA. COME OUT WITH YOUR POSTER BOARDS
AND HAVE FUN!

(Editorial) -

Here's my thoughts - Whether or not you agree with the use of marijuana, you have to respect your fellow American's rights to picket, demonstrate, boycott, or protest. It's what our country was founded on, and - as long as it's peaceful - it's what should be expected out of every single red-blooded American if they see a problem that needs to be fixed. Will a bunch of folks with red eyes in a park holding signs actually accomplish anything? Most likely not - if they only hold them sporadically, and treat it as a reason to get ripped with some friends. These folks have an entire movement they are pushing, and I doubt it will get out of hand.

Obviously, this is not something you want to take your kids to (if you do, then you probably have some parenting issues, and that will count against you in the law's eyes), but the fact that these people are hitting the "medical" side of the argument should go a long way.

Whether or not you support their cause, or are totally against it, make sure your voice is heard tomorrow...and encourage any like minded people to do the same. It's your job as a citizen of this country.
