The Natrona County Mustangs Football team have literally worked their way through every team they have played this year like a surgeon doing heart surgery. With meticulous abandon.  The Mustangs are Un-Defeated. Really haven't been challenged seriously by any one. The Mustangs will be playing their nemesis from the North the Gillette Camels Saturday in Laramie at War Memorial Field. The last time the Mustangs matched up against the Camels (9-2) they handed them one of their worst home losses ever 47-7 in Gillette. To top off the State Title game there has been some problems up in Gillette. Six players from the Gillette squad have been suspended. Including record-setting quarterback Cale Miessler and leading rusher Dalton Suchor, for "disciplinary" reasons. A number of other starters have been suspended as well. Does this mean the Mustangs will roll over Gillette? Probably. But don't count out the Gillette Camels. They have something special. Coach Vic Wilkerson. Who as Bum Phillips, the former coach for the Houston Oilers of the NFL, used to say, "He can take your'n and beat hissin', or he can take hissin' and beat your'n. The Mustangs have an opportunity to do something very few young athletes get to do. Win a state title and complete an un-defeated season. We'll see. The game can be heard on AM 1400 ESPN with Mr. Jack Nokes and Rodeo Rick Darcey doing the play by play. Pre-game is at 3:30.
