It appears that other 4A high school football teams from around the state can't even slow down the NCHS Mustangs let alone beat them. Last night the NC Mustangs (7-0) stretched thier winning season to seven games defeating Cheyenne South (2-5) 52-0. The Mustangs needed only five offensive plays to score its first four touchdowns. That's productivity. Senior quarterback Casson Burgen piled up a full game's worth of stats within the first 12 minutes, throwing touchdown passes on each of the Mustangs' first three drives. For the game, the Mustangs held South to only 80 yards of total offense. The Mustangs host Sheridan, which defeated Cheyenne Central, 44-7, on Friday. NC has a chance to clinch home-field advantage in the first two rounds of the playoffs with a victory over the Broncs.
