After 30 years together, the band Queensryche and frontman Geoff Tate have gone their separate ways.

There has been suspicion that it was coming, but it has been confirmed that the band has replaced Tate with Todd La Torre on lead vocals.

Queensryche drummer Scott Rockenfield told Billboard,

Over the past few months there have been growing creative differences within Queensryche. We want our fans to know that we hoped to find a common resolution, but in the end parting ways with Geoff was the best way for everyone to move forward in a positive direction.

Geoff Tate has not released a statement yet.

(So, creative differences?  BS… after 30 years you don’t split over creative differences.  More than likely, they just couldn’t stand each other anymore.)

The band was scheduled to do a show June 11th in Utah, and Geoff was the only one to show up, so he did an acoustic performance.
