Rod's daughter Kimberly gave birth to a baby girl last Sunday. Baby Delilah's 66 year old grandfather headed to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace to begin a two year residency at the venue.

USA Today reports that Rod's set list in Vegas will not include any of the favorites from his wildly-popular Great American Songbook albums, because they tended to "slow the show down."  Rod explains, "I tried mixing them in, but I've decided to instead go with more of my bigger hits, as well as some obscure Rod Stewart stuff."  That means fans in Vegas will hear all of Rod's biggest hits, plus some choice covers, like his version of Robbie Robertson's romantic ballad "Broken Arrow;" as well as classic album tracks like "The Killing of Georgie (Part I and II)" and "Every Picture Tells a Story."
