How did you spend your New Year's Eve? If you're famous and play music for a living, there was a good chance you spent it onstage with other famous people who play music for a living. Brian Johnson joined Billy Joel for an AC/DC classic in Florida. And Myles Kennedy tore through an entire set of AC/DC songs with Gov't Mule in New York.

And, also in New York, Stevie Nicks hopped onstage with indie rockers Deer Tick to perform 'Rhiannon' to help ring in 2015. You can watch fan-shot video above.

Deer Tick have been celebrating their 10th anniversary all week with shows at the Brooklyn Bowl and by paying tribute to the artists who've inspired them. The last of the six nights featured a surprise appearance by Nicks, who sang her breakthrough 1975 Fleetwood Mac hit with the band.

But it's not a totally random hookup. Nicks ended 2013 with Deer Tick, too, officiating frontman John McCauley's wedding to singer-songwriter Vanessa Carlton.

She now has a couple of weeks off before Fleetwood Mac resume their reunion tour with Christine McVie on Jan. 16 in Minnesota. The tour will continue through the end of March. Nicks released her latest solo album, ’24 Karat Gold – Songs From the Vault,’ a newly recorded collection of some old previously unreleased songs, in October.
