Stevie Nicks & Steven Tyler Praise Betty Ford

Stevie Nicks & Steven Tyler, two legendary rockers who have had their addiction problems, both applauded the courage and passion of former first lady Betty Ford.

Steven, has participated in several rehab programs, said" Betty Ford was courageous in sharing her own struggles with drugs and alcohol."

Her vision and amazing heart led to the Betty Ford Center  in 1982. At one of the lowest points in her life she came forward to share a message of recovery in order to help others.

Stevie Nicks checked herself into the Betty Ford Clinic, and credits Betty Ford with saving her life  and helping her kick her drug habit in the mid-80's.

Betty Ford will be missed, and the work she inspired in recovery will live on.
