An investigation is underway into a fire in west Casper late Monday afternoon. The Natrona County Fire District says they were called out at 4:30 p.m. to the area of Pond Hill Road for the report of a structure fire. Casper Fire-EMS and the Natrona County Sheriff's Office also responded.

Once on scene, crews found heavy fire venting from the roof of the structure, which was a large pole barn used for storage according to Natrona County Fire Marshall Brian Oliver. They established a defensive attack, and kept the fire contained to the structure.  Nobody was injured in the incident.

Oliver says they began their investigation into the cause of the fire Monday night, but stopped due to the wind and the condition of the structure. They will continue the investigation Tuesday morning.
