As any movie fan worth their salt will undoubtedly recall, Back to the Future Part II imagined a timeline in which we had hoverboards, automatic lace-up sneakers, futuristic Pepsi (more on that here), and…Jaws 19. Robert Zemeckis’ time-traveling sequel was almost eerily prescient in its imagining of the future of blockbuster franchises, and now there’s an official trailer for Jaws 19 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of one of the best film franchises in history.
In addition to returning to theaters and releasing a premium Blu-ray box set this fall, Back to the Future will also celebrate its 30th anniversary with a pretty big celebration. Today comes news of some exciting plans to help fans further celebrate the release of one of the best films of all time — there’s just one catch: it’s all taking place in Los Angeles.
It's almost surprising at this point that there has not been a 'Back to the Future' reboot or sequel. When you look back at the popular and successful properties of the 80s, there are few that haven't been modernized. Sony is practically falling all over themselves to get a new 'Ghostbusters' in theaters. This year alone saw new 'RoboCop,' 'Muppets,' 'Ninja Turtles,' 'Jump Street' and 'Transformers' movies. Although it was just a movie, many are asking (usually, in a sarcastic sense) that there's only one year left unt
A while back we reported on a very cool 'Back to the Future' LEGO set concept, where fans submit their ideas for new LEGO sets in hopes of seeing those sets become reality. And the results are in -- the 'Back to the Future' LEGO set has been approved and is coming next year!
Ah the 80's. Really a golden era for "Teen Movies". Everything from "Back To The Future", "Karate Kid", "Revenge of The Nerds" and literally everything John Hughes created.
Have you ever wanted to go back in time? You might not be able to actually time travel (yet), but if you have $600k lying around, then you can at least travel back to the 1980s (in your mind) in the original Delorean from ‘Back to the Future.’
Musician/comedian Matt “The Mouth” Mulholland was able to recreate the entire audio track from the famous skateboard chase scene in ‘Back to the Future’ using only the power of his own voice.
Mulholland voiced the dialogue, the sound effects and the background music from the scene on different tracks and synced them to the video. As you can see (and hear) below, the results are very impressive:
