The big debate every year around this time is whether to or not to shop on Black Friday, and in some cases, even Thanksgiving Day. Maybe that's why certain department and electronics stores have started dropping prices early.

The busiest shopping weekend of the year is almost behind us, with the exception of one fairly recent addition.  Cyber Monday.  Cyber Monday started in 2005 as an alternative to Black Friday.  It was also a way for on-line retailers to get in on the pandemonium that Black Friday stirs up.

Here's the Saturday-after-Thanksgiving tradition: a smartphone video of a Black Friday riot. This is in Moultrie, GA, and the swarms of people are grabbing cheap pay-as-you-go smartphones. But it's not the only shame to be happening, as the clip you've seen elsewhere isn't legit.

Well, Black Friday is a thing of the past. I know, it's still, technically, 'Black Friday' but the madness of the rush in the early hours or late Thanksgiving hours is what Black Friday conjurers up. The big gimmick this Thanksgiving season is retailers beginning their Black Friday sales on Thursday, a day previously reserved for turkey and football with the family. This has understandably annoyed retail employees, who now have to work on what was previously a holiday.
