Cheyenne Frontier Days officials have completed the 2013 Frontier Nights® concert lineup. Journey with very special guest star Styx will kick off the evening entertainment on Friday, July 19. Tickets for the show will go on-sale March 15.

According to Styx, their record company has been less than honest with forking over their royalties for the past several years. In fact, the band alleges that the record company went as far as creating a “phony business model” just to avoid paying them – talk about a grand illusion.

A successful two-month run in 2012 has lead to more shows together for REO Speedwagon, Styx and Ted Nugent in 2013. The Midwest Rock 'n Roll Express tour will begin again in April, with 20 dates announced through May 19.

Former Styx front man Dennis DeYoung hasn't been an active member of the group he helped found since 1999, but he still makes his living by playing their greatest hits. DeYoung's current solo band is geared toward recreating the classic Styx sound as closely as possible, and the singer, songwriter and keyboardist has revealed that he is hoping to re-stage the superstar rock group's most successful

On November 16th and 17th Styx will play a couple of special shows in Las Vegas at The Pearl at Palms Casino Resort.

The summer concert calendar is beginning to fill up rather quickly as more shows are announced for the region.

Styx, Ted Nugent and REO Speedwagon are teaming up for a 30-date triple-threat summer tour named “The Midwest Rock ‘N Roll Express,” which will kick off May 1 in Hidalgo, Texas and cross all over the country before winding up in Gilford, N.Y. on July 7.
