This video starts out like any other elk video that I've shared recently but, it takes a turn when the camera pans left and we get to see an incredible sized herd of elk that any hunter would be proud to be this close to.
I love seeing people doing their part to help animals in need and that goes for people who adopt cats and dogs at shelters to all of the videos that we have seen of people helping elk and deer get unstuck from fences and rivers that have frozen over.
Normally I would say that there aren't a ton of reasons to be thankful for super fluffy snow which only happens when the weather conditions are just right and it's not too hot and it's not too cold.
We all learned growing up that messing around with a wild animal generally leads to something bad. You know, like being mauled to death or losing a limb or something like that. In fact, when I was a boy scout going on a trip to Yellowstone the gave us pamphlets and bear spray to prepare us for what we needed to do if we ever encountered one of these animals.
Let's face it, we have all had both good and bad encounters with the wildlife in Wyoming. But I don't think I've heard or seen anyone get totally wrecked by a deer while they were minding their own business.
Sometimes I come across certain things that make me happy and this right here is the video of the day that makes me smile every time I watch it. It's the perfect combination of old school craftsmanship with just a touch of technology.
Leave it up to the Russians to invent something that seems like a good idea but doesn't work nearly as well as it should. You'd think they'd have a better way of removing snow with how much of it they get every year.
We have seen quite a few videos in the last couple of years of how powerful and dangerous bison can be when agitated and even when they're playing around with each other.
You know, we are the only things on this planet that love a string of cool noises put together that create a nice tune. This video proves that fact as one lonely guy with a flute brings out a deer with his magical noises.
