Thanksgiving dinner is by far one of the best meals of the year.  What's even better than the dinner itself?  Thanksgiving leftovers!  The possibilities are endless when it comes to creating new ways to enjoy the mass amount of food leftover from this feasting holiday.

Most Thanksgiving meals are pretty standard.  All the essentials are on the table such as the turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and dinner rolls(or bread).  Other side dishes fluctuate from family to family, but these are the core, must have, dishes.  Once the meal is over, everyone groans from over consumption and begins the task of packing up the leftovers.  Since the refrigerator is full to the brim with nothing but Thanksgiving treasures, you can pretty much predict your week's menu.  You can either recreate the traditional feast, which is fine, or you can get creative.

My personal favorite is the Thanksgiving sandwich.  Take some good thick bread and toast it, then pack on turkey(light or dark meat), potatoes, and stuffing.  Don't forget to drown it in gravy.  Thanksgiving soups are popular, although it primarily just uses the turkey.  I've seen Thanksgiving stir-fry that looks amazing.  Thanksgiving pot-pies are always a treat and can create more leftovers, which is just down right economic.  There are plenty of ways to keep enjoying this once a year feast.  Get creative and see what you come up with!
