If you're reading this post, chances are you like music. And if you like music, chances are you like Chicago. And if you like Chicago, chances are you know they formed on this day in 1967. But this article is for those that don't. Chicago is one of the greatest rock and roll bands of this or any generation. They have recorded five number 1 albums, sold 38 million units worldwide, and have had more than twenty top-ten hits. Chicago is second only to The Beach Boys in terms of Billboard singles and album charts success (Totes stole that fun fact from Wiki). It was on this day in 1967 that the band formed, consisting of saxophonist Walter Parazaider, guitarist Terry Kath, drummer Danny Seraphine, trombonist James Pankow, trumpet player Lee Loughnane, and keyboardist Robert Lamm. Soon-there-after, bassist Peter Ceterra came on board, Chicago officially formed, and American music would never be the same again.

...Also on this day in 2002, Crossroads, starring Britney Spears was released, and American cinema would never be the same again.
