In music, there are very few bands that define a generation. The Beatles, Nirvana, and Miley Cyrus are some of the only ones. There is one band, however, that stands head and pony tail above the rest, and that band....is....KISSSSS. Detroit Rock City, Rock and Roll all Nite, God of Thunder- all classics. KISS was and still is one of the greatest bands in the world, and it was on this day, in 1974 that it all started when KISS released their very first album titled, coincidentally, KISS. This record initially sold 75,000 copies, but soon thereafter it went gold, selling more than 500,000 copies. The tracks on that first CD still remain a vital part of KISS' repertoire, as "Nothin to Lose," "Black Diamond," and others are still performed on nearly every KISS gig. It was on this day that a legacy was started- the legacy of KISS.
