We’re very pleased to bring you an exciting clip of perhaps the heaviest song to emerge so far from the new Van Halen album, ‘China Town.’ The full version of the track will arrive Feb. 7 along with the rest of ‘A Different Kind of Truth,’ the group’s first album with original lead singer David Lee Roth in 28 years.

This barreling number kicks off with a typically dazzling Eddie Van Halen solo, and keeps the pedal to the floor from there on out. Alex Van Halen and his bassist nephew Wolfgang earn every cent of their paychecks by pounding out this breakneck beat, as David Lee Roth warns about the perils of life in the big city.

This song doesn’t seem to date back to any unreleased demos, unlike earlier ‘Truth’ songs such as first single ‘Tattoo,’ ‘Blood and Fire‘ and ‘She’s the Woman.’ We think ‘That Metal Show’ host Eddie Trunk said it best, and we’re paraphrasing a bit, when he tweeted, “Who cares when the songs came from, as long as they’re great?!”

Pre-order the deluxe digital version of ‘A Different Kind of Truth’ at iTunes, or spring for the deluxe CD edition over at Amazon. If you really wanna go old-school, check out the impressive-looking vinyl version of the record as well. Last but definitely not least, be sure to enter below for your chance to win two tickets to a show of your choosing on the band’s 2012 tour.
