Slick snowy conditions forced I-25 south bound to be closed for a short period of time east of Casper.  An accident forced the south bound traffic to be turned around the sent back to town by the Wyoming Highway Patrol. It is unclear at this point if any injuries have been reported in the accident.

Traffic was being routed around the accident which happened along I-25 between Wyoming Boulevard and Hat Six Road a little around 9 am this morning. According to WYDOT, there is no longer a closure on I-25 south in this area.

State Troopers have been working to get the highway cleared after 2 semi's pitched their rigs sideways to avoid major collisions.

Snow along with windy conditions are creating havoc on travelers all across the cowboy state today.  Plus it looks like mother nature isn't going to give us a break from these frozen temperatures until later in the week.

Just a friendly reminder, slow down when roads are covered with ice and snow!  A big thanks to Jamie Lynn on Facebook for the photos taken along I-25 this morning.
