I've asked a variety of Wyoming fans from across the state and the nation to give me their thoughts on where the team stands.  What I found was unwavering support and passionate optimism.....

If you'd like to add your support to the UW Football Team, send us your comments at: jerrad.anderson@townsquaremedia.com

"I'd ask everyone in the state continues to support this team.  Buy tickets, put on your brown and gold, and cheer your hearts out.  They need our backing." - Dan Blake (Sheridan, WY)

"Cowboys fans should still be proud this season. Falling oh so short to Nebraska isn't a big deal. Coming out flat after a 3.5 hour delay at north Texas, no biggie. I think you'll still see us against Fresno at the end of the season the the MWC Championship!" - Robbie Wilson (Rock Springs, WY)

"I believe in the Wyoming Cowboys because hell or highwater the cowboys put in 60 minutes." - Jon Schade (Columbus, IN)

"I still believe!  The Cowboys slipped in a couple non-conference games.  Those are good learning experiences and we're better prepared for MWC play. GO POKES!" - Chelsea Smith (UW Student)

"Brett Smith being a Manning camp quarterback, Poke Nation has no need to worry. The rejuvenating air of 7220 and another home game will revitalize not only the offensive attack, but the defensive pressure, increasing as the altitude does. The student section will be packed and supportive, as should the rest of War Memorial with UW alum and future generations of football players and students, proudly supporting the Brown and Gold that so well defines this great state. The University of Wyoming still has a great chance to rope in a Mountain West championship behind an offensive air attack that has already produced Players of the Week in this great conference. Dave Christensen's background of winning football and points on the scoreboard should have Cowboy fans more excited than ever before with this high-octane offense of 2013. However, WIN OR LOSE, WE STILL BOOZE!" - Chris Linton (UW Student)

"Texas State was disappointing, but I hope the BYE week will help us get refocused and healthy.  We should take care of business against New Mexico and CSU.  Brett Smith and the receivers are fine, the running game and defense need to step it up."  - Paul Murphy (Logan, UT)

"Brett Smith=BEAST!" - Eric Wimber (Riverton, WY)

"Get your tickets, these guys are exciting.  If we take care of our games at home, we're bowl bound."  - Patrick Phillips (Denver, CO)

"We don't lose in Pink. Powder River on that!" - Brett Brown (Lone Tree, CO)

"I hope everyone shows up for the remaining home games decked in brown and gold and ready to cheer.  With Brett Smith, we're never out of anything.  If they can win their home games and get a couple road wins I think we're in good shape."  - Patti Wright (Moorcroft, WY)

"We've got a high caliber offense that can play with the best of 'em.  Now we need the defense to step up.  Texas State was a tough loss, but they can get back on the right track against a couple struggling teams before playing the conference top dogs."  - Aaron Perez (Gillette, WY)

"You can do it Pokes, we've all got your backs.  Give it all you've got Saturday!" - Christina Parker (Kimball, NE)
