Just this past Friday, November 9th, retired K-9 Wendy, passed away due to heart failures, announced by the Wyoming Highway Patrol.  She was on the force for nine years.

Her career began as a narcotic K-9 in 2009 working with the Big Horn Basin in District Five.  Wendy had her fair share of busts in Wyoming, she was so good at seizures that Wendy was deployed throughout Wyoming during the concentrated HIDTA (High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Area) details on Wyoming highways.

Before Wendy retired in September of 2017, she helped Trooper Jeramy Pittsley in Cheyenne as they worked I-80 and I-25 as part of Division A.  Her last year of service, Wendy and Jeramy seized over 700lbs of illegal contraband.

Wendy did what any retiree would do, move to Florida to enjoy doggie biscuits and slurp up doggie Mai-Tai's (non-alcoholic of course).  She was with Jermay's family in Florida when she passed away.

Our condolences to Trooper Pittsley, his family and anyone else that worked alongside this amazing K-9!
