In 1869, Wyoming was the first territory to grant women the right to vote and was first to welcome women into non-traditional jobs and political positions. 149 years later, how are women doing in Wyoming? A WalletHub survey shows not so well.

The best states for women are Minnesota, Massachusetts, and Vermont. The worst states for women are Mississippi, Arkansas, and Louisiana. The survey factored median earnings, unemployment, poverty, female-owned businesses, high school graduation rates and how many voted in the last election among other criteria.

So how does Wyoming, “The Equality State,” fare? We’re ranked at #33, pretty far from great.
