Saturday was Hero Appreciation Day across Wyoming, and people turned out to celebrate our military, veterans, police, State Patrol,  fire and first responders teachers, educators, and organizations that do so much for our community.

 

Governor Matt Mead declared the 3rd Saturday in September the official observance and some cities and towns had their own observances.

 

It’s a chance for the family to get to know those who protect and serve us without fear and get any questions answered. Cheyenne Mayor Marian Orr addressed the crowd at the VA from the stage where Whiskey’s Alibi also performed.
